What are the Library timings/working hours?

Library is open from 9a.m. to 9p.m.

How do I access the library resources?
A
You can access the library resources by the following ways.

For physical material − All physical materials are spread over G+2 floors of the Library, Ground floor for Magazines, 1st - 2nd floor for Books and bound volume/back issue of the journals.

For E-Resources/Databases - Most of the e-resources are IP authenticated and you can access the same from anywhere within the campus. For more details about e-resources/databases please visit library website under the online resources menu.

A
You can access the library catalogue through online catalogue option which is available at library webpage.

Where can I return a book/s?
A
You can return the book/s at circulation counter only.

How can I renew book/s?
A
You can renew book/s through the online catalogue using your library ID number and password or visit library circulation counter.

Which resources I cannot borrow?
A
The resources which you cannot borrow are new arrival display, current journals, VHS, CDs/DVDs and reference materials.

Note: Faculty member can issue VHS, CDs/DVDs and reference materials.

How do I reserve/hold book/s?
A
You can reserve/hold a book/s through the online catalogue Please note that you can reserve a book/s only if it is checked out.

What are the Term books (CU materials)?
A
Term books (CU materials) are the required and recommended reading suggested by a faculty for a particular term. The copies of the same will be available at Library circulation desk.

What are the reserve sequence materials?
A
Reserve sequence materials are recommended reading suggested by a faculty for particular periods. The same copies are available at circulation desk as reference. Such materials cannot be borrowed.

How can I suggest book/s?
A
You can suggest book/s through the online catalogue using your library ID number and Password.

Does the Library have fiction or light reading books?
A
Yes library has a number of light reading books like Fiction, Hindi books, Cookery books, Children books, etc.

Where can I find the back issues of Journals?
A
The back issues of the hard bound journals are available at 2nd floor, and most of the back volumes are also availalbe online.

How do I access the journal online?
A
Online Journals can be accessed through the library webpage under the online resources menu.

Do I need to come to Library to access the databases?
A
Most of the databases subscribed by library are IP enabled so you can access the same from anywhere. The mode of access is clearly mentioned under the name of the database.
