Welcome to Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science which today is opportunities personified. HITS raises a toast to the International Toastmasters’ Club as they make their headway into the fraternity as ‘Hindustan Toastmasters’ Club.’

Mr. Ashok Verghese, Director, HITS, a member of Chennai Toastmasters’ is the architect, prime mover and a patron who coined the idea to bring “the unique concept of enhancing public speaking and leadership skills of members in a cohesive environment.”

His candor to generate world class faculty of educationists who would converse and make this institution, idea rich, eventually surfacing, debating, improving and deciding- to engineer and design champion world leaders. This initiative saw the inauguration of Hindustan Toastmasters Club on 24th February 2010.

OVATION 2010

Hindustan University sponsored the “Ovation 2010 Annual Conference” , titled ‘ The Alchemy of Articulation’ , that was held at Chennai from 20th to 23rd May 2010. The participants witnessed a conglomeration of Toastmasters from India and Srilanka. It was a grand ceremony interspersed with great speeches by the 1995 World Champion of Public Speaking , Mr. Mark Brown. There was an education session “ATE” Ways Leaders Get Things Done! by the International Trainer Mr. Mark Brown on 22nd May 2010. Fifty staff members of Hindustan University participated in the event OVATION 2010.
