About the Course |
The Refrigeration and Air-conditioning course trains the students to design, develop, manufacture, simulate, and repair and enables them to explore new avenues in the fields of Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and allied sciences. |

- impart education in the state of the art in Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Allied Sciences.

| Course Structure |
| Refrigeration and Air-conditioning is a two year (four semester) programme in which the first two semesters deal with theory subjects and laboratories and the third semester deals with theory and project work – phase-I and the fourth semester is fully dedicated to project work. |

Eligibility Criteria |
The students with B.E. Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical or equivalent thereof are eligible to join in the course. |
Summer Training |
Every student is required to undergo summer training during the vacation period to get exposed to new technologies and practices in R&AC. |

Project Work |
In-house projects are carried out in various areas such as Alternative refrigerants, performance analysis of Refrigerators, Air conditioners, Bottle coolers, Automobile air conditioners etc. |

Job Opportunities |
Refrigeration and air-conditioning is a mature field in Engineering. It has a wide scope of employment in India as well as abroad, especially in Gulf countries. Engineers are employed in the areas of research, development, design and application. Campus recruitment drives are conducted by leading industries and students will normally be able to find a placement even before completing their coursework and project.
