| Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science is located in the city of Chennai (Madras), the Capital of Tamil Nadu State. Tamil Nadu is located alongside the coastline of the Bay of Bengal, and her western border is flanked by breathtaking sights of the Western Ghats which appeal to even nature and adventure lovers. This state is also a home to the rarest confluence of three oceans, namely Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. Chennai is the business hub of the State of Tamil Nadu. It is the fourth largest metropolitan city in India and it boasts of the second longest coastline in the world. The city is 'young' in comparison with other Indian cities, only a mere three and a half centuries old. It is the nerve centre of dance, music, arts and film production in South India. In spite of being the oldest of India's English settlements and despite the cosmopolitan crowds that populate it, Chennai is a city where traditions are still followed. |
